This role will be a great opportunity for a resilient, talented, ambitious self-starter Brand Manager to join the Flavouring &Seasoning Marketing team at Premier Foods. Premier Foods is one of the UK\’s largest food businesses, where we are passionateabout food. Working on an Iconic market-leading brand with over 75% share in the UK market and the #1 priority brand within F&S & apriority brand in total Premier Foods, which features in millions of homes every day. The brand is looking to transform thecategory in the next few years & expand its footprint into adjacent categories, including chilled, frozen, so you will need to driveand evolve the plans, innovation pipelines, and brilliantly execute in the market.
The role reports into the Marketing Controller for the £171m RSV brand portfolio, with a TTL yearly support plan including TV,OOH, Social Media, and partnerships including influencers.
You need to be keen to support the Marketing Controller to drive growth for a Nation\’s Favourite Iconic brand, putting insight atthe heart of everything we do, flexing your project management skills, bringing a growth mindset to learning, and demonstratingyour passion for food through a strong collaborative cross-functional leadership style. Commercial effectiveness underpinseverything we do, and strength in this area is certainly well-respected in the business.
What we need from you…
Already operating at Brand Manager level is essential for this high-profile role
? Ideally, at least 3 years UK FMCG experience, a previous local marketing role is a must.
? Passion for Food is a must. Preferred marketing experience within Food and Drink categories.
? A commercially and analytically aware individual who is comfortable developing and presenting business cases in anorganisation that makes investment decisions on the back of robust data-based recommendations.
? Strong bias for action and agility in getting things done, with a high level of personal accountability.
? Strong Project Management experience required.
? Experience in creating and delivering Innovation (inc NPD & EPD) and leading a gate process from concept to execution.
? Experience working with external agencies.
? A \’consumer first\’ mindset that places them at the core of everything that they do.
? An individual who has a track record of getting the best out of others with a collaborative and inclusive style.
? Experience of Kantar/Circana (IRI or equivalent
What you\’ll be doing?
Financials and business analysis:
- Manage P&L, including monthly performance reporting, identification of key performance drivers, pricing & promotion recommendations.
- Monitor, analyse & report on external performance and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities.
- Highly analytical – able to identify key insights and action plans from a complex array of data.
- Responsible for the day to day budget management for the Brand.
Brand communications:
- Lead all BTL activity such as shopper marketing, sampling & digital activation, PR programs, co-ordinating brand communication materials such as in-store POS, website & ECOM images for external customers.
- Support Commercial Managers for Brand Sell-In presentations taking lead to creating and delivering outstanding experiences for buyers.
Innovation and Project management:
- Work with the Innovation and Marketing controller to establish the longer NPD and EPD pipeline for your portfolio.
- Full accountability for executing Brand led NPD/EPD projects (e.g. flavour/variant extensions, product/pack updates, etc.) under-pinned by insight through internal approval processes, across Retail.
- Includes: developing winning concepts & product & packaging delivered against this; leading the cross functional project team; building the commercial business case; creating launch plans; working with commercial functions to develop compelling retailer sell-in story.
- Support Retail, Foodservice & International Innovation teams on longer-term NPD projects.
Brand Planning working alongside the Marketing Controller).
- Implement the in-year marketing plan & developing course-correction in year.
- Development of forward strategy & winning plan to grow the brand.
- Day to Day brand and product management.
- Ambassador for the brand portfolio and key day to day contact with all stakeholders.
- Drive internal engagement around our brand & our launches.
- Key contact with factories and project management working through the plans and ensure cross functional working.
- Work closely with commercial teams to develop & execute competitive plans, represent the brand externally, influence ranging decisions and improve the quality of in-store execution .
