Purpose of the Role: We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Maintenance Scheduler to support the planning and delivery of our site maintenance programme. You'll play a key role in ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered on time, to standard, and with minimal disruption to operations.
What will you be doing?
- Develop, maintain and communicate structured maintenance schedules
- Plan all maintenance activities using a proactive, preventative approach
- Use CMMS systems (e.g. SAP) to manage workload, data and reporting
- Support service contract management (renewals, service visits, performance)
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture (lean / efficiency focus)
- Understand manufacturing efficiency (e.g. 6 losses) and production priorities
- Attend and lead key planning meetings to align engineering and production goals
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production and external partners
- Manage contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Champion a zero-accident culture by consistently demonstrating safe behaviours
- Ensure all permit-to-work systems are followed and correctly authorised
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety compliance
What skills do I need?
- Experience in maintenance planning/scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance activities
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident using CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of health, safety and food manufacturing standards
- Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities
