As a Payroll Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our colleagues every day. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive HR team where your attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a real difference.
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering a high-quality, efficient and cost-effective payroll and time & attendance (T&A) service for both hourly and salaried employees. Working closely with HR colleagues and the Shared Service Centre, you'll help ensure payroll processes run smoothly, accurately and on time.
This is a temporary cover role, initially required to provide support during the summer holiday period through to August.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the administration and control of the weekly payroll for a large workforce
- Working with the Shared Service Centre to ensure payroll is processed accurately and within deadlines
- Managing T&A data and ensuring all system inputs are timely and accurate
- Administering payroll deductions, including statutory payments
- Producing and sharing daily and weekly reports on labour hours, holidays, sickness and overtime
- Supporting managers with T&A queries and exception reporting
- Ensuring T&A rules are applied consistently and fairly
- Monitoring labour tracking processes, including transfers between cost centres
- Providing insight and reporting to support effective labour cost management
