About The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, the primary purpose of this role is to lead and direct the operational responsibilities of your allocated porter team and clearing/wash up area, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, supporting service, and working collaboratively with the wider team to contribute to a positive, efficient kitchen environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Follow provided plans to position heavy equipment correctly.
  • Ensure all correct equipment, cleaning products, and disposables are in required areas, in required amounts for daily operation.
  • Day-to-day coordination and management of stock requirements for linen, beverage, disposable products (including food serving and chemical/cleaning products). This includes the receiving of all products and the management of distribution, transfers, and rotation across the site.
  • Ensure that all crockery, cutlery, and equipment are cleaned to a high standard and stored in the correct way, so as not to block fire exits and passageways.
  • Ensure waste streaming is followed as required.
  • Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness at all times.
  • Provide the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene at all times, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Ensure the highest standards of general hygiene and food handling are achieved at all times by all employees within kitchen areas according to the Company H&S standards.
  • Clean equipment, ensuring heavy equipment is emptied and loaded out.
  • Ensure kitchen areas are handed back to the client in good order.
