An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Multi-skilled Engineer to work on our 4 on/4off shift pattern, working 2 days 2 nights. The successful candidate will have both electrical and mechanical skills and will be required to undertake the following: To efficiently fault find, repair, maintain and improve a variety of cake manufacturing equipment across site. To carry out assigned or self-directed engineering tasks. To provide an innovative proactive engineering support service to the site based on skill, experience, and initiative. To support the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment in order to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality environmental policies. To implement maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve full compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime. To help transform the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy to a Right First Time, proactive philosophy. To heavily support and coach the effective development of engineers in their up-skilling on automation equipment across their lines.
