Premier Equipment is a full-service John Deere dealership specializing in agriculture, lawn and commercial grounds care and compact construction equipment. With heritage dating back to the 1950s, our organization has grown through the decades bringing to life John Deere's commitment to customers of quality and innovation.

Premier proudly serves Southern Ontario with 9 locations (Alliston, Ayr, Elmira, Listowel, Ospringe, Tavistock, Smithville, Norwich and Stouffville), offering a robust parts inventory and over 90 technicians able to provide service and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage whole goods inventory with dealer inventory tracking system.
  • Maintain an established lot plan and effectively communicate within the store, to ensure plan is followed.
  • Responsible for all incoming/outgoing trucks/freight/equipment.
  • Deliver all new equipment and bundles required to shop for pre-delivery.
  • Maintain bundles, left over items, operator manuals, monitors etc. in an organized and clean manner.
  • Maintain forklift through daily safety checks and general service.
  • Effective yard maintenance through cutting grass, spraying weeds, yearly anti-freeze checks and grading drive ways as necessary.
  • Pick-up and delivery of small agricultural, lawn & garden, landscaping and construction equipment primarily throughout Premier Equipment’s territories.
  • Periodic collection and handling of Sales and Service invoices, contracts and payments directly with customers.
  • Light maintenance duties within the Store and support duties of yard coordinator.
  • Responsible for proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of delivery truck and trailer. Ensuring all is in presentable condition.
  • Demonstrating to customers how to operate the equipment upon delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned by Store Manager.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain friendly and positive relations with customers and fellow employees.
  • Good working knowledge of operating and driving equipment.
  • Valid G driver’s license. Valid D driver’s license would be preferred.
