With heritage dating back to the 1950\’s, our organization has grown through the decades bringing to life John Deere\’s commitment to customers of quality and innovation.
Premier proudly serves Southern Ontario with 10 locations (Alliston, Ayr, Elmira, Listowel, Ospringe, Tavistock, Smithville, Stouffville, Hagersville and Norwich), offering a robust parts inventory and over 90 technicians able to provide service and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair of John Deere and competitive compact construction and construction equipment as required.
- Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Participates in required Service JDU (John Deere University) Training programs.
- Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the service office and documents on work order.
- May be required to discuss technical items and repair details with customers.
- May be requested to support customer product clinics.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- 2+ years of experience performing service repairs.
- 421A or 425A License is required.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
- Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
- Ability to work with a computer is required.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
- Has a valid Drivers license & can supply a clean drivers abstract.
- Experience working on construction equipment an asset.
