JOB – Technical Sales Engineer

SALARY – £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus bonus & benefits)

My client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke mechanical equipment supplying into a range of industries. They are looking to take on a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in Uckfield. This role will be a mix of new business development and account management.

The Technical Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
• Experience in a technical sales or account management role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of mechanical systems or bespoke engineered products
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities while supporting existing customers
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude with good organisational skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings would be beneficial
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required

The Technical Sales Engineer role will involve:
• Managing and developing existing customer accounts to increase sales and revenue
• Identifying and targeting new business opportunities within key markets
• Preparing and presenting technical solutions tailored to customer needs
• Working closely with the design and engineering team to ensure customer requirements are met
• Preparing quotations and supporting tender processes
• Providing regular updates to management on sales activity and performance
• Representing the company at trade shows and exhibitions when required
