SALARY – £30,000 – £36,000, dependent on experience
My client provides specialist engineering services in the Linen & Laundry industry. They are looking for a new Stock Controller to join their team in the Berkshire area on a permanent basis.
The Stock Controller will ideally have the following attributes:
Previous experience in a Stock Controller / Inventory Management role
Happy to travel around the UK for customer visits
Able to plan your own routes and schedule to maximise efficiency
Proficiency using stock control systems / ERP / MRP software
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Confident using MS Office (Excel essential)
Ability to work independently as well as within a small team
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
Own your own vehicle and be willing to travel as required
The Stock Controller role will involve:
Travelling around the UK to visit customer sites and carry out inventory
Managing your own time, organising customer visits and planning routes
Monitoring, recording and maintaining stock levels to ensure accurate availability
Carrying out regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies
Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries
Ensuring stock is stored safely and efficiently in the warehouse
Working closely with production and purchasing teams to ensure smooth workflow
Updating the ERP/MRP system accurately and in a timely manner
Preparing reports on stock usage and availability for management review
Supporting continuous improvement in stock control processes
