Graduate Product Design Engineer in Southampton

ROLE- Graduate Product Design Engineer LOCATION- Southampton TERM- Permanent SALARY- £25,000-£28,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Graduate Product Design Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis. The Graduate Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design or similar Interested in developing a career in Design Engineering / Product Design A sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial Be proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite etc. Hands-on technical experience through your course Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines Excellent attention to detail Organised with excellent communication and teamwork skills  The Graduate Product Design Engineer roles will involve: Using 2D and 3D CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings Liaising with manufacturing providers Testing and prototype development Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans Updating 3D models and drawings Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs Checking drawings for sign off Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects  If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
