My client is a specialist manufacturer within the precision metal industry. They are looking for a Senior Estimating & Engineering Lead to join their team in the Manchester area on a permanent basis.
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience within the spring or precision metal industry

Attributes
- Previous experience in sales, estimating, proposals or engineering roles
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of CAD software - SolidWorks or similar
- Knowledge of metal treatments, stamping, precision forming would be beneficial
- Experience working with multiple cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, Sales)
- Experienced producing quotations and queries
- Experience providing technical consultancy internally and externally
- Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
- Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities
- Providing Design and Estimating support for customers, the merchant networks and Sales teams
- Gaining technical competence and understanding of the key functions of the company's products and services
- Communicating with customers, providing technical consultancy, responding to enquiries, and liaising with external sales teams
- Working with the Projects Team to convert client requirements into detailed designs and technical instructions
- Technical creation of quotations
- Taking over requirements from the sales team and seeing them through the technical stage
- Planning and organisation
- Innovative thinking and problem solving
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
