My client provides bespoke product solutions to fit within the commercial. They are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join their team in the East Sussex area on a permanent basis.
Location: East Sussex
Term: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 (dependent on experience)
The role will involve taking projects from initial concept through to manufacture. You will be using Solidworks and designing products for the consumer goods sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop your ideas from concept to production.
- Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
- Create models/prototypes.
- Do market research, work with clients and listen to their feedback.
- Use all manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Be skilled in using 3D CAD software (Solidworks).
- Be able to create models / prototypes.
- Be technically minded with a head for problem solving.
- Have an understanding of design for manufacture.
- Have a design related degree (Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering etc.).
