Product Design Engineer

JOB – Product Design Engineer\\nLOCATION – Northampton\\nTERM – Permanent\\nSALARY – £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)\\n\\n Premier Engineering is working with an established engineering and manufacturing company currently looking to bring on a Product Design Engineer to join their growing team.\\n\\n The Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\\n\\nA degree or qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSc, BEng, MEng, HND, HNC etc.)\\n\\nPrevious experience in a similar Product Design or Mechanical Design role\\n\\nProficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor\\n\\nKnowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and production techniques\\n\\nA creative and practical approach to product development\\n\\nGood understanding of prototyping and testing\\n\\nStrong communication and team collaboration skills\\n\\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines\\n\\nThe Product Design Engineer role will involve:\\n\\nDesigning and developing new products from concept through to manufacture\\n\\nProducing detailed 3D CAD models and drawings\\n\\nCreating BOMs and technical documentation\\n\\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality\\n\\nWorking closely with clients or internal stakeholders to understand requirements\\n\\nSupporting prototyping, testing, and design validation activities\\n\\nEnsuring designs comply with applicable standards and regulations\\n\\nContinuously improving existing products based on feedback and performance\\n\\nIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations
