My client designs, builds and operates Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind Turbine renewable energy systems throughout the United Kingdom. They are looking for a Planning Project Manager / Graduate to join their team in the Cornwall area on a full-time basis.

The Planning Project Manager / Graduate will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in Planning, Renewable Energy, Environmental studies or a related discipline
  • Experience using ArcGIS and AutoCAD
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Methodical, accurate and process focused approach to work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Able to manage workloads effectively and prioritise tasks
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Able to work well individually as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Renewable energy industry knowledge and experience would be advantageous, particularly within wind energy
  • Associate membership of RTPI / IEMA would be beneficial
  • Passionate about renewable energy and sustainable development

The Planning Project Manager / Graduate role will involve:

  • Assisting the planning team with planning applications
  • Supporting planning research and site feasibility studies
  • Preparing plans and visuals to support planning activities
  • Reviewing identified sites for wind, Solar PV and battery feasibility
  • Identifying potential wind and battery sites throughout the UK
  • Supporting renewable energy development projects from early-stage planning through to submission
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and planning records
  • Providing support across a range of renewable energy planning activities
