My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team in Gloucestershire on a permanent basis.

Attributes and qualifications

  • An educational or hands-on background in Engineering
  • Degree qualified or further in Engineering or similar
  • Experience in or knowledge of manufacturing industries would be ideal
  • Technical Engineering knowledge to understand quotations and queries
  • Previous experience supporting customers in a similar technical/sales role would be beneficial
  • Excellent customer-service skills and a passion for sales
  • Confident and driven for career progression
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Keen to develop as part of an organisation long term

Role responsibilities

  • Identifying, generating, maintaining and developing sales opportunities for the company
  • Providing technical support and supporting technical delivery of the company's products and services
  • Providing after-sales support for installation and troubleshooting
  • Representing the company at exhibitions and client meetings
  • Account management of existing clients
  • Handling queries and providing quotations to progress further sales opportunities
  • Upselling and developing relationships
  • Working with the Projects Team to convert client requirements into detailed designs and technical instructions
  • Processing purchase orders onto the MRP system
  • Excellent opportunities for training and development, with room to progress within the company
