My client provides bespoke products and engineering solutions for manufacture. They are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Liverpool area on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Fitter will ideally have the following attributes:

  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 2 or more years industry experience ideally working in a hands-on manufacture/assembly role
  • Ability to read and work to technical drawings
  • Experience around pressure vessels, main fabrications, mechanical parts, milling and turning machinery would also be beneficial
  • Excellent proficiency with CAD software ideally SolidWorks or similar
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials such as sheet metal, castings, machining etc.
  • Be technically minded and proactive, with a head for problem solving
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Mechanical Fitter role will involve:

  • Mechanical assembly of various products, parts, components and machinery
  • Working to company standards for test and repair
  • Maintaining equipment and machinery
  • Pressure vessel testing
