My client provides bespoke products and engineering solutions for manufacture. They are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Liverpool area on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Fitter will ideally have the following attributes:
- HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 2 or more years industry experience ideally working in a hands-on manufacture/assembly role
- Ability to read and work to technical drawings
- Experience around pressure vessels, main fabrications, mechanical parts, milling and turning machinery would also be beneficial
- Excellent proficiency with CAD software ideally SolidWorks or similar
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials such as sheet metal, castings, machining etc.
- Be technically minded and proactive, with a head for problem solving
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Mechanical Fitter role will involve:
- Mechanical assembly of various products, parts, components and machinery
- Working to company standards for test and repair
- Maintaining equipment and machinery
- Pressure vessel testing
