JOB – Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION –Chester TERM – Permanent SALARY – £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) My client design and manufacture high-tech products for a global client base. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Chester on a permanent basis. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: BSc / BEng / MSc / MEng / HND or similar in Mechanical Engineering Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor etc. 4 or more years’ of experience working in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering position Experience with identifying new routes for continuous improvement Experience developing ways to manage and better processes within the company Good knowledge of different metal materials, manufacturing techniques and machining processes Have a methodical approach to work Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects Using SolidWorks, Inventor CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings Developing new avenues for Continuous development and process management Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involved in final assembly of products Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
