Mechanical Design Engineer

JOB – Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION – Mansfield TERM – Permanent SALARY – £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits) Premier Engineering is working with an engineering company based in Mansfield that is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to support their expanding design team. SolidWorks experience is essential for this role. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: A degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical design role Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and technical drawings Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and assembly Experience producing BOMs, technical documentation, and engineering calculations Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills Good communication skills and ability to work within a team The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Designing mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks Creating detailed engineering drawings and models for manufacturing Liaising with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective Supporting development of new products and improvement of existing designs Participating in design reviews and technical meetings Ensuring all designs meet industry standards and customer requirements If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations
