As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs from concept through to production. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet technical, safety, and commercial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, control panels, and schematics for manufacturing equipment
- Produce detailed drawings using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
- Support the full project lifecycle, from initial concept through to commissioning
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, BS, CE marking)
- Work closely with mechanical engineers, production teams, and external suppliers
- Participate in design reviews, testing, and troubleshooting activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical design within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and electrical schematics
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software
