SALARY – £30,000- £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – South London

My client provides bespoke structural engineering solutions for manufacture. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the South London area on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical / Design / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar
2 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
Proficient with using ideally Inventor or AutoCAD software for design
Confident knowledge of structural disciplines
Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
Experienced designing products from concept to production
Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry
Knowledge of different materials such as sheet metal fabrication
Innovative and passionate about design
Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Being responsible for the design and development of various products and structures
Using Inventor and AutoCAD software for design on a day-to-day xiskglj basis
Developing ideas from concept to production
Creating models/prototypes
Liaising with clients and developing solutions
Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
Providing technical guidance and support
Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
