JOB – Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer  \\n\\nLOCATION – Portsmouth\\n\\nTERM- Permanent\\n\\nSALARY – £25,000-£30,000, dependent on experience \\n\\nMy client designs and manufacturers specialist electromechanical products for a variety of sectors. They are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Portsmouth on a permanent basis.  \\n\\nThe Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\\n\\nDegree BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar\\n0-2 years or more industry experience\\nProficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD etc.\\nHave the ability to carry out mechanical calculations\\nKnowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc.\\nGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances\\nBe able to work well individually as well as part of a team\\nHave excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)\\nBe keen to develop with a company long term\\nExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office \\n\\n The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\\n\\nWorking within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers\\nSeeing through design projects from concept through to completion\\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\\nCreating component and assembly models to satisfy customer requirements\\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\\nProducing the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\\nInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs\\nChecking drawings for sign off\\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \\n\\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
