Job Description
JOB – Finance Manager\\n LOCATION – Newcastle\\n TERM – Permanent\\n SALARY – £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (plus benefits)\\n\\n My client is a growing SME looking to strengthen their finance function. They are seeking a Finance Manager to support the business in automating financial processes and transitioning to Xero Accounting Software, based in Newcastle.\\n \\nThe Finance Manager will ideally have the following attributes:\\n • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience\\n • Experience in SME finance management, including reporting, forecasting, and budgeting\\n • Familiarity with accounting software and experience transitioning systems, ideally to Xero\\n • Strong understanding of financial processes and automation opportunities\\n • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills\\n • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders\\n • Proactive and hands-on approach, comfortable implementing process improvements\\n \\nThe Finance Manager role will involve:\\n • Managing all financial aspects of the business, including monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting\\n • Transitioning the company’s accounting systems to Xero\\n • Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities\\n • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies\\n • Supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making\\n • Working closely with operations to streamline financial processes\\n • Managing external accountants, auditors, and other financial advisors\\n \\nIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations
