We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Bournemouth who are looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, process-driven individual to play a key role in improving production efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing capability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to production.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, tooling solutions, and layout changes.
  • Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to resolve technical and production issues.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a production or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in process design, tooling, and production layout.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Degree or HNC / HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering (or equivalent).
