Overview
Role: Electrical Project Design Engineer. Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise). Type: Permanent. Location: Leicestershire. The client works within engineering and is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Design Engineer to join and develop as part of their team.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
- Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
- Have knowledge of how PLC systems work
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
- Experience of working in heavy engineering sectors such as Mining, Nuclear, Energy, Rail, Power Plant or similar
- Excellent problem solving capabilities
- Previous wiring and fault finding experience would be ideal
- Have experience of working with different electrical test equipment
- Good project skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Full Driving Licence
Responsibilities
- Working within the existing multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Producing detailed design specifications for control systems
- Testing electrical control panels
- Producing test specifications as required
- Liaising directly with customers as part of the projects
- Developing control system hardware
- Producing wiring diagrams and GA drawings
