Overview
Role– Electrical Design Engineer
Salary– 45,000 – 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)
Type– Permanent
Location– North Devon with hybrid flexibility
My client work within engineering and manufacturing and they are looking to take on an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.
The Electrical Design Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:
- Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Have precious experience designing a variety of Electrical Systems
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
- Excellent problem solving capabilities
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- SC Clearance will be required
The Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the existing multi–disciplinary engineering team
- Being involved in development and electrical design activities
- Working on the whole product lifecycle
- Carrying out analysis when needed, test and product support
- Working on a variety of electrical components and systems (including control systems)
- Ensuring product performance when integrating subsystems
- Ensuring that designs meet EMC standards and defence regulatory standards
- Creating the required technical documentation
