My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Junior Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team long term.

Attributes:

  • BEng / BSc / HND / NVQ qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
  • Any previous experience of working in a hands-on electrical manufacturing environment would be ideal
  • Candidates who have recently completed their studies would suit this position well
  • Knowledge of PLC's such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider etc. would be desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Working in a hands-on environment carrying out PLC coding, panel building, machine wiring, and final testing of equipment
  • Providing technical support to customers as required
  • Some occasional site visits
  • Offering support to Apprentices
  • Working with the engineering team to help improve processes where possible
