My client provides bespoke product solutions to fit within the commercial. They are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join their team in the East Sussex area on a permanent basis.
The role will involve taking projects from initial concept through to manufacture. You will be using Solidworks and designing products for the consumer goods sector.
Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following:
- Be skilled in using 3D CAD software (Solidworks)
- Be able to create models / prototypes.
- Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
- Have an understanding of design for manufacture
- Have a design related degree (Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering etc.)
The Product Design Engineer role will involve:
- Develop your ideas from concept to production.
- Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
- Create models/prototypes.
- Do market research, work with clients and listen to their feedback.
