Qualifications

  • BSc / BEng in Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering or similar
  • 5 or more years of industry experience in a senior mechanical or design role
  • Good understanding of FEA, ANSYS, stress analysis, particle fluid simulation, etc.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc.
  • Experience with Siemens NX is an advantage
  • Strong core mechanical engineering knowledge yielding tight tolerances
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Organisational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute NPI and NPD technical activities
  • Work within the R&D multidisciplinary team
  • Plan and oversee first build of new products and participate in validation tests
  • Use CAD for concept design and produce technical drawings
  • Lead client projects converting ideas into designs
  • Develop new product concepts and find mechanical solutions
  • Use CAD in product design and development processes
  • Work on high‑precision instrumentation products
  • Model, analyse and develop mechanisms
  • Participate in building and developing prototypes
  • Conduct design reviews and produce required documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement
