We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and growing engineering business based in Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of regulated and high-growth sectors, including pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and the emerging EV battery market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems, equipment, and components for regulated manufacturing environments.
- Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
- Design equipment with a strong focus on hygiene, safety, compliance, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with project, manufacturing, and client teams to deliver bespoke engineering solutions.
- Support prototyping, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, BOMs, and revision control.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is strongly preferred.
- Experience designing equipment for pharmaceutical or food & beverage industries is advantageous.
- Interest or exposure to EV battery manufacturing or clean energy markets is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
