Draughtsman

ROLE- Draughtsman\\n\\nLOCATION- Southampton\\n\\nTERM- Permanent\\n\\nSALARY- £30,000 – £42,000, dependent on experience \\n\\nMy client is a specialist product designer and manufacturer. They are looking for a Draughtsman to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.\\n\\nThe Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes:\\n\\nHNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Design, Engineering or similar\\n0-3 years’ or more of experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position\\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded parts \\nBe proficient using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD\\nPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment\\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\\nProficient using MS Office\\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills\\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team \\n\\n The Draughtsman role will involve:\\n\\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\\nProducing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements\\nCommunicating directly with clients to determine requirements\\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\\nChecking drawings for sign off\\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \\n\\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
