My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on an Internal Sales Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the South Oxfordshire area.
The Internal Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ/ HNC/ HND/ BTEC qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written; to work well over the phone
- Be able to work well individually as well as a team
- Previous experience working in a similar technical engineering, technical sales or manufacturing environment would be ideal
- Engineering knowledge such as technical sales, gears, power, machines etc.
- Be proficient with using MS Office applications
- CRM systems / SAP knowledge would be an advantage
- Training will be given on both the product and sales side of things
- A Full UK Driving Licence would be beneficial but not essential
The Internal Sales Engineer role will involve:
- Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager
- Working with customers providing technical advice and customer service
- Ensuring sales requirements match customers' needs
- Preparing quotations as required
- Working over the phone with customers
- Helping to develop sales to both new and existing customers offering the correct solutions
- Providing support to the external sales team with commercial support
- Selecting the appropriate products
- Working with the company CRM system
