My client designs, builds and operates Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind Turbine renewable energy systems throughout the United Kingdom. They are looking for a Planning Project Manager / Graduate to join their team in the Cornwall area on a full-time basis.
The Planning Project Manager / Graduate will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified in Planning, Renewable Energy, Environmental studies or a related discipline
- Experience using ArcGIS and AutoCAD
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Methodical, accurate and process focused approach to work
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Able to manage workloads effectively and prioritise tasks
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Able to work well individually as well as part of a collaborative team
- Renewable energy industry knowledge and experience would be advantageous, particularly within wind energy
- Associate membership of RTPI / IEMA would be beneficial
- Passionate about renewable energy and sustainable development
The Planning Project Manager / Graduate role will involve:
- Assisting the planning team with planning applications
- Supporting planning research and site feasibility studies
- Preparing plans and visuals to support planning activities
- Reviewing identified sites for wind, Solar PV and battery feasibility
- Identifying potential wind and battery sites throughout the UK
- Supporting renewable energy development projects from early-stage planning through to submission
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and planning records
- Providing support across a range of renewable energy planning activities
