ROLE – Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical) SALARY – £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience TYPE – Permanent LOCATION – West Berkshire (worldwide travel is required) My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join their team based in West Berkshire on a permanent basis. This exciting role involves extensive international travel, providing the opportunity to work on challenging projects worldwide, commissioning cutting-edge mechanical systems and process equipment. The Commissioning Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Willingness to travel globally for extended periods and adapt to diverse working environments Proven experience in mechanical commissioning or installation Experienced working in process plants and similar factory settings Strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering (Degree, HND, or equivalent qualifications preferred) Hands-on expertise with mechanical systems, including assembly, troubleshooting, and optimization Knowledge of Chemical or Process Engineering would be beneficial Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet Strong communication skills for working with international teams and clients Knowledge of Health and Safety practices related to commissioning and mechanical systems The Commissioning Engineer role will involve: Traveling to sites worldwide to commission mechanical systems and equipment Conducting testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance Collaborating with clients and local teams to ensure successful project completion Providing hands-on support during installation and assembly phases Preparing detailed reports and documentation for commissioning activities Delivering training and guidance to on-site staff and operators Identifying and addressing technical challenges in a proactive manner Representing the company professionally in diverse global settings If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible
