ROLE – Chemical Process Engineer SALARY – £40,000- £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) TYPE – Permanent LOCATION – West Berkshire My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis. The Chemical Process Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in chemical process engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes A degree (BEng, MEng, MSc, or PhD) in Chemical Engineering or a related field Strong Project Management skills Strong knowledge of process design, scale-up, and optimization Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., COMAH, HSE) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent leadership skills, and ideally some people management experience Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team Responsibilities include: Leading the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processes Solving problems and improving engineering processes Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for new and existing projects Overseeing the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Managing and mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible
