My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The company is based in Berkshire, but this role will be remote (requirement to be in the office around once a month), and will involve travel to meet UK-based customers as required.
The Business Development Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experience working in Business Development for B2B sales, ideally selling to integrators
- Able to find customers and win new business, whilst managing accounts and maintaining customers
- A passion for sales and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a small team
- Interested in sustainability and passionate about working in the renewable energy sector
- Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate others
- Enthusiasm for the position
- Brilliant communication skills and organisational skills
- Be able to travel on occasion as required
The Business Development Manager role will involve:
- Working in a team to manage sales and business development activities within the company
- Selling products to other businesses and integrators
- Identifying and targeting new potential customers and winning business
- Liaising with clients and investors to create and build relationships, then managing accounts
- Maintaining the existing customer base and managing accounts
- Leading a small team and having 1 direct report
- Travel across the UK to meet customers and attend trade shows, events and conferences as required
- Researching and developing sales opportunities
- Working in alignment with commercial, technical, research and marketing strategies
- Achieving revenue growth targets
- Day-to-day management and team engagement
- Driving for progression and growth of the business
