TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £37,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on relevant experience

My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Product Support Engineer with an Electronics bias, on a permanent basis, in the Birmingham area.

The Product Support Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • NVQ/ HNC/ HND/ BTEC/Degree qualified or similar in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Prior electronics sector experience is essential – be able to diagnose faults, work on component level and work with schematics
  • Practical soldering skills and using hand tools
  • Any software knowledge would be beneficial – KiCAD or similar PCB Design CAD
  • Have excellent problem solving skills
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as a team
  • Be proficient with using MS Office applications

The Product Support Engineer role will involve:

  • Providing technical support to customers with regards to company products
  • Being involved in product re-design when needed
  • Helping with any technical issues that arise
  • Offering production support across the range of products
  • Schematic design using KiCAD
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis
  • Carrying out bespoke assembly of products when required too
  • Offering support to other team members when required
