Premier Education are working in partnership with a wonderful school in the Wirral area, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 6 Primary Teacher to join their small, specialist provision for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role will run from January to Easter 2025 and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment with a small group of lovely children with ASD., As a Year 6 Primary Teacher in the ASD provision, you will work with a small group of students, providing tailored support to enhance their social communication skills and academic progress. You will be responsible for creating engaging lessons and activities, adapting to individual learning styles, and working closely with support staff to ensure each child’s needs are met., * Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities that are differentiated to meet the needs of students with ASD.

  • Support the development of social communication skills

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to provide a holistic support system for the children

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and supported.

  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure all children are progressing towards their individual goals.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in primary education

  • Experience or a strong understanding of working with children with ASD and supporting social communication skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents, staff, and external professionals.

  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and creating a positive learning environment for all students.
