Playworker - After‑School Club (Term Time) Fairfield Infant School, High Road West, Felixstowe, Suffolk, IP11 9JB 16 hours per week | Term time only | Club hours 15:15–18:00 £10.85–£12.71 per hour

Love making kids laugh, and want your afternoons to actually mean something? Join Premier Education as a Playworker at Fairfield Infant School's after‑school club, where you'll turn the end of the school day into the best part of it.

You'll help lead fun, safe and inclusive play sessions for children aged 4–7, giving them a happy, active space to unwind after school while their families get some peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

  • Helping plan and deliver engaging play, from arts and crafts to active games
  • Collecting children from class and settling them into the session
  • Setting up and packing away play spaces, and serving safe, healthy refreshments
  • Building genuine relationships with children, parents and school staff
  • Keeping everyone safe by following our safeguarding and health and safety procedures

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What we’re looking for

  • Recent experience working with children (paid or voluntary) – essential
  • An understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Bags of enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with children
  • A team player who’s happy taking direction from the Site Lead
  • Reliable transport to get to the club on time for every session
  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and food hygiene training if you don’t already hold these
