We're working with a number of welcoming Bolton primary schools who are looking for exceptional SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. This is not a general TA role.
Requirements:
- Have hands-on experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, SEMH, speech & language, or complex needs)
- Understand behaviour, emotional regulation, and building trust
- Can stay calm, patient and consistent even on the toughest days
- Are proactive and use their own initiative (not waiting to be told what to do)
You might have worked as a:
- 1:1 or small group support
- Helping children access learning in and out of the classroom
- Supporting with routines, transitions, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
You've supported a child through a meltdown not just observed one. The types of SEND needs you've supported include:
- A brief example of how you've helped a child manage behaviour or engage in learning
