After School Club Venue Lead (Term-Time Only)
Location: Horfield Primary School (BS10)
Contract: Term-time only
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 2:00pmβ6:15pm
Pay: Β£14.00 per hour
We\βre looking for an experienced, confident Venue Lead to take ownership of our after-school club at Horfield Primary School. This is a term-time only, afternoon role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading a small team, taking responsibility for a provision, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for children aged 4 β 11.
If you have childcare experience and are ready for a role with real responsibility and autonomy, this could be the perfect next step.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has worked as a Room Leader, Deputy Manager or wraparound care Club Lead.
- Is confident running a small provision day-to-day.
- Enjoys leading people as much as working with children.
What You\βll Do
- Take day-to-day responsibility for a team of 5 staff, providing guidance, support and leadership
- Act as the Designated Lead on site, ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are confidently maintained
- Create a fun, inclusive, and positive environment where children feel safe and engaged
- Manage basic operational tasks such as session planning, ordering supplies and maintaining records
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and school staff
What We\βre Looking For
- Level 2+ childcare/playwork qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with primary-aged children in schools or clubs
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Good safeguarding knowledge and basic IT skills
