Year 6 Primary Teacher – small ASD Provision (January to Easter 2025) Location: Wirral Area, North West Contract Type: Full-Time (5 days per week) Duration: January 2025 to Easter 2025 Salary: £110 – £170 per day Premier Education are working in partnership with a wonderful school in the Wirral area, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 6 Primary Teacher to join their small, specialist provision for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role will run from January to Easter 2025 and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment with a small group of lovely children with ASD. About the School: This well-established school is committed to providing high-quality education and a positive learning environment for all children. Their small ASD provision focuses on supporting students with social communication difficulties, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and socially. The staff are passionate about making a difference and are looking for a teacher who shares this commitment. Role Overview: As a Year 6 Primary Teacher in the ASD provision, you will work with a small group of students, providing tailored support to enhance their social communication skills and academic progress. You will be responsible for creating engaging lessons and activities, adapting to individual learning styles, and working closely with support staff to ensure each child’s needs are met. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities that are differentiated to meet the needs of students with ASD. * Support the development of social communication skills * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to provide a holistic support system for the children * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and supported. * Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure all children are progressing towards their individual goals.
