Contract: Full Time | Long Term

Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a number of primary schools across Cheshire East who are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their teams from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across different year groups and is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, deliver planned lessons in their absence, lead intervention groups, and provide high-quality classroom support.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Provide classroom support across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
  • Lead small group interventions to raise attainment
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required
  • Assist with planning, assessment, and classroom preparation
  • Promote a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents/carers where appropriate

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or significant experience working at HLTA level
  • Previous experience working within a UK primary school
  • Confident leading whole-class learning when required
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A flexible, proactive, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to provide two references covering the last two years of employment history
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

Pay: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
