Hours: 3 full days and 2 mornings per week

Premier Education is working in partnership with a primary school in the Stockport area seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil until the end of the academic year in KS2. This role requires a specialist SEN TA who is confident supporting children with a range of additional needs and can build positive, consistent relationships within a nurturing school environment.

Role Overview:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
  • Supporting a child with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), SALT (Speech and Language), and behavioural needs
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
  • Delivering tailored support strategies to encourage engagement and progress
  • Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Strong understanding of SEMH, behavioural, and speech and language needs
  • A resilient, patient, and consistent approach
  • Ability to build strong relationships and maintain professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
