Premier Education is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in the Buxton area seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join their team for a 6-week placement starting 21st September. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive Science department, delivering engaging lessons and helping students achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Teaching Biology across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable)
- Planning and delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
- Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Biology within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A proactive, organised, and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
