Premier Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Levenshulme who are looking for a strong and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join them from Autumn 2. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who is confident leading a Year 6 classroom and can hit the ground running. The school are looking for someone who is experienced, organised and confident in their teaching, with a good understanding of the expectations and demands of the final year of primary school.
The Role
- Full-time teaching across a Year 6 class
- Planning and delivering engaging KS2 lessons
- Supporting pupils to make strong progress
- Preparing pupils for the expectations of Year 6 and SATs
- Managing the classroom confidently and positively
- Working closely with colleagues and the wider school team
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong KS2 / Year 6 teaching experience
- A confident classroom practitioner
- Good behaviour management skills
- High expectations of pupils
- Someone organised, reliable and able to hit the ground running
- Two suitable references
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- ECTs with strong KS2 experience are welcome to apply, although the school are particularly keen to hear from experienced Year 6 teachers.
