Premier Education are recruiting for a qualified PE Teacher to work in a busy secondary school in the Manchester area. This is a full-time, temporary position starting as soon as possible and continuing until May half term.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and energetic department, delivering engaging Physical Education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The role: You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, ensuring students are active, engaged and making progress. You will work closely with the department and wider school staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
- Managing behaviour effectively in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Supporting students of varying abilities
- Contributing to extracurricular sports and enrichment activities
- Upholding school policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to motivate and inspire students
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
