Location: Manchester.

Salary: 16.92 - 22.56 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications).

Contract type: Temporary. Monday - Friday. (8.30am - 11.30am). Start: ASAP for 4 weeks.

Premier Education are seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a welcoming primary school in Manchester, working with Key Stage 1 pupils. This is a mornings only role starting ASAP, making it ideal for teachers or experienced HLTAs looking for greater flexibility and work-life balance, while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons for KS1 pupils.
  • Lead small group sessions and occasional whole-class teaching where required.
  • Support pupils' learning, progress and classroom engagement.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils' academic and personal development.

Essential requirements

  • Hold a minimum Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Have recent experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting, ideally KS1.
  • Be confident delivering small group work and supporting classroom learning.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • Hold valid Safeguarding and Prevent training, or be willing to complete our free training prior to placement.
