SEN Teaching Assistants - Secondary Schools

Premier Education is currently working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive schools across the High Peak area who are recruiting experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support secondary-aged students from September.
We are looking to speak with compassionate and resilient individuals who are available to work 5 days a week supporting students with a range of additional needs within secondary school settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who are passionate about helping young people thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role:
- Providing classroom and 1:1 support for secondary-aged students with additional needs
- Supporting students with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning support
- Delivering small group interventions where required
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting young people with additional needs
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
