Are you an experienced admin assistant looking for a school based role that will fully immerse you in school life and give you industry experience as well? Would you like to support the day to day running of a thriving secondary school? Do you want to work alongside a visionary Headteacher who is on a journey for their students to have no barriers to excellence?
Responsibilities- Provide effective support for financial and administrative functions within a secondary school
- Ensure financial records and processes are accurate, well-maintained, and compliant with internal requirements
- Assist with budget tracking and expenditure monitoring to support informed decision-making
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of sound financial procedures and controls
- Work closely with colleagues across different teams to support operational priorities
- Prepare and share clear, reliable financial information as required
- Manage workloads efficiently, demonstrating strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and ways of working
- Act professionally at all times, supporting safeguarding, equality, and organisational values
- Experience of working in a finance, accounts, or administrative role (or a strong willingness to develop in this area)
- Good numeracy skills with the ability to maintain accurate financial records
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Confident user of IT systems, including spreadsheets and finance or data management software
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and accountable approach to work
- Willingness to follow policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality requirements
- Commitment to continuous improvement and developing professional skills
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with safer recruitment practices.
