Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in the Stoke-on-Trent / Staffordshire area who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher from September 2026. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to inspire young people through creativity, helping students with additional learning needs to develop confidence, self-expression and practical artistic skills in a supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that encourage participation and celebrate individual achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Differentiating learning to meet individual needs
  • Encouraging creativity, confidence and independence
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working alongside teaching assistants and wider support staff

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Art within a secondary setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Positive, patient and flexible approach
  • Two references covering the last two years
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Pay

£140 - £200 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
